However, we found it increasingly difficult to source salmon oil that was not farmed but still sustainable with full provenance.
The oil from farmed salmon contains high levels of toxins and how the salmon are farmed have a devastating impact on the wild salmon populations and on the seabed habitats. What are the alternatives?
- Oil from Wild Salmon? The truly wild salmon oil is expensive and with wild salmon in decline, it's not sustainable.
- Cod Liver Oil. Oil from line caught Cod is still sustainable. It still has the great omega 3s: DHA and EPA as well as naturally occurring Vitamins A and D. Our high strenght Collagel Cod Liver Oil capsules for dogs are available in three sizes (50 capsules, 100 capsules and bulk 1000 capsules).
- Omega Oil Blend. Our blend contains cold-pressed Flaxseed Oil, Cod Liver Oil and organic raw extra-virgin olive oil with the correct ratio of Omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9.
